Replacing pull switch wall lights
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.45 PM
We currently have 2 wall lights in our living room in alcoves either side of the chimney breast that have independent pull switches on each light. Despite us having 2 wall switches in this room on opposite walls, they both control the ceiling light. We are looking at replacing the wall lights but the ones we keep finding that we like do not have switches on them and designed to be controlled using a wall switch. Are we limited to just replacing the wall lights with like for like i.e. with independent switches, or is it easy enough for an electrician to install a new wall switch to control them?
