Damp Proofing

How can I tell if mould is caused by damp?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.39 PM

There is mould on the lower walls next to the back door, but it doesn't make any sense that there would be damp there, and a survey six months ago didn't identify anything. What else could be causing it?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi there generally mould will not form from rising damp but purer water eg,condensation especially since its near a door letting cold air in to warm so as to condense on the nearest surface mainly non pourus.
