Larsen Feather Edge smoothing compound; where can I buy this product from locally

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.27 PM

Hi, I’m in south Manchester. I’d like to buy some Larsen Feather Edge smoothing compound. Does anyone know any local suppliers where I can pick it up from please? I can only find online suppliers that charge a fortune for delivery. I want to use it to hopefully fill in some dips in my self levelling floor compound in the lounge before I have new carpets fitted. It’s uneven. The house is 20years old and the last carpet showed the dips and developed a crease line from the uneven floor. But I want to try and avoid using a self levelling compound myself. I’m hoping to to fill/smooth out the dip. It’s about 5mm deep . Thanks.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi i think it would be better for whoever fits your new Carpet for them to sort out the floor and get it level

To level a floor is a skilled job, it shouldn’t be undertaken by a novice. It could end up making the floor even more uneven and costing a lot more to put it right by a professional

At 5mm deep that is too much for featheredge. Any good self levelling compound would be much better but remember because its called self levelling it still needs to be trowelled so best to let a professional do it for you.
