Why does my boiler make a pressure air squeak sound after cold supply turned off?
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.26 PM
If I flush my toilets and they have filled, the boiler makes a loud pressure squeak sound upon the instant the toilet tank fills. The same with cold taps, i run a cold tap and turn it off, same sound from boiler. I've changed both my toilet valves but no luck. Still the same issue. No one one knows what this is. Homeserve plumber came and said it's normal and fled off. I have no water meter fitted and I have a water hammer arrestor fitted on the boiler. It's a Worcester boiler and was fitted in October 2018. This pressure air squeak sound only happens on cold supply and it's driving me mad. Very loud during night if someone goes toilet. It sounds like a trapped air sound from boiler. It's started happening in last 2 months and I'm baffled. I've even drained out pipes but no luck. Please help and advise.
