6.2KW DOUBLE OVEN FED FROM 2 X 2.5 TWIN & EARTH CABLES ON 32 AMP MCB

CAN THE DOUBLE OVEN RATED AT 6.2KW AT 240V SUPPLY BE SUPPLIED BY 2 X 2.5 TWIN AND EARTH TOGETHER IN CONDUIT.

It would appear the client is trying to connect a 6.2 KW oven to the ring main in the kitchen this is not advisable. A fixed appliance IE ovens over 2KW should have a dedicated supply to allow for diversity factors over the ring main in the kitchen.

In theory yes as it’s similar to ringmain fused at 32A but it would be bad practice to do it that way. It should be a 6mm cable on a 32A MCB/RCBO with an isolator at the cooker.
