Fuse box issue or appliance issue?

Have you unplugged everything also? I say that because some socket outlets have single pole switching-the live. If you unplug everything and you have any switched Spurs on the circuit switch these off also and if the problem still persists it’s time to call an electrician in.

Without seeing myself, sounds like a neutral earth fault, causing the rcd to trip.

Hi, I would recommend unplugging all appliances not just switching off as you can get cheaper sockets which are only single pole so will not switch the neutral so will effectively still trip. Also if the RCD is covering several circuits it could possibly be one of the others causing the fault. Thanks . Marshelec

If you turn all of the circuits off and then try to reset the rcd and it stays on then you could turn the circuits on one by one and whichever circuit you turn on that trips the rcd is the circuit with the fault. If the rcd still won’t reset with all of the circuits off then yes it could possibly be a mechanical issue within the rcd.

Hello Try and unplug every thing instead of just switching off at the socket. Keep in mind that there still may be electrical equipment on the circuit that does not have a plug, like a extractor fan or an emersion heater. Also there may be appliances that have the socket behind them like the fridge or the washing machine or the dish washer. if you cannot isolate the problem than I would get a qualified electrician in to trouble shoot.
