Replacing a hanging toilet
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.24 PM
I want to replace a wall hung toilet bowl that was already in place in a new property. There are no identifying details on the toilet how do I identify the basin to find a new one to fit the embedded frame? Just to qualify, the house is not a new build it is new to me so I do not know the make of the existing toilet. Does anyone else agree that the existing frame will fit any new hanging toilet bowl as one of the answers below has said? Any tips greatly appreciated.

measure the hole centres that bolt the pan to wall & replicate when purchasing the new one
also allowing the overall size to be the same width & length
many thanks paul

If it’s a new build, contact the main contractor/builder and they will tell you the manufacturer.

If I were in that situation you have a few possible ways to find out ,
A, contact the house builders/contractors and simply ask.
B, take a snap shot with a phone , go into google search, upload the image and search for matching images , if A isn't possible B is your best bet,
C, and this will be no fun , trawl through the online stores and hope to hit lucky ,,, B normally works for me though before you get to C if A isnt an option .
