any help with dot and dab onto waterproof membrane?

Anonymous user 23 February 2024 - 2.39 PM

i can get the boards all plumbed up on the mesh membrane like i can on a normal wall but it seems to move afterwards and you can only really tell once its been skimmed. any help with stopping this happening would be great

you need to make sure you have enough fixings per mtr on the membrane it sounds like the weight of the boards and adhesive is too heavy for the amount of fixings you are putting in Otherwise your adhesive mix is not stiff enough and therefore the boards are moving before the adhesive has cured

you dont say where this waterproof membrane is if below ground level skim with tanking composite if above ground level skim with a sand and cement 3 to 1 mix add sbr to each mix when set hard and dry fix boards with a stiff dri lining compound mix
