Removal of corner piller
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.45 PM
Hi all need some advice I have a brick piller in the corner of my kitchen it does not start from the floor level starts at just above counter hight and goes up to the ceiling and into the bathroom above where a section has been cut out in the bathroom it terminates in the loft it doesn't go to any chimney or to the roof I am unsure to its purpose as there is a small steel door on the other side of the wall which was the exterior wall which is now inside a conservatory the house was built in the early 1960 and if possible I would like to cut it out as I am thinking it was some kind of old vent system as it's not for a boiler as there has never been a boiler as there is no gas or oil to the property heating is via night storage system I would like to gain the 8 inchs extra wall space but don't want to cut it out if it's there for structural reasons any help would be greatly appreciated regards perry
