Work done and paid for - Now asking for more money

Hello, We had some plumbing work done 3 months ago, all with no problems. We paid the itemised bill we received via direct debit and now 3 months down the line he has rung saying he charged the wrong price and would like the best part of £1000 more. We paid a lot in the first place for the work and we are surprised he is asking for even more. Where do I stand? Thanks

Personally I would tell him to do one-in the nicest possible way. How do you know he is not doing this to all or some of his past customers to raise some capital? If you have paid the final invoice in full, then you have absolutely nothing to worry about. If he bothers you again I would be inclined to give the police a ring tbh.

Absolutely agree! I cannot believe anyone’s margins at 1k out. You settled a final agreed invoice so that should be finished. Do not pay any more money to them....

If youve paid the invoice in full there is no way you can make a 1000 pound mistake on an invoice i wouldnt pay you have the final invoice paid in full and contact the police if yiu keep getting bothered hes trying his luck

Completly agree with whats been said. If he's given you a price and he has got his calculations wrong thats his problem. You agreed upon a price before the job started so that is all you should pay
