Hi Mandy, you require a gas safe approved fitter to remove and make safe your gas hob and a Part P approved installer (electrician) to install the new electric hob.

Hi Mandy
You must use a gas safe registered engineer as he can remove hob and carry out relevant tests, you would minor work or certificate saying it’s safe
So your insurance would cover you if there was a problem

You would require a gas safe fitter to remove the hob and cap the gas off then an electrician to fit new hob.
