Yes as long as the outside socket is correctly fuse and RCD protected, and obviously you need a qualified electrician to install and sign off that outside socket.

Hi Yes as the above have stated. If you have no RCD protection on your kitchen socket circuit, I would recommend installing a RCD fused spur or RCD socket via the kitchen socket supply and then supply your pond cable from that mentioned RCD spur/ socket. You will then at least have RCD protection on your new part. Also ensure the fuse in the spur or plugtop is the correct rating for your pond requirements, 3 amp fuse etc Tom SafeSpark Electricians

Hi. if it is a usual size small pond, then as long as you have RCD protection, then yes. But; bare in mind, if for some reason the pump trips the RCD ( which is quite common, when they age or block) your freezer could defrost etc. It is always better to run a separate supply for outside items, therefore removing the risk of unwanted problems elsewhere in the property. I hope this helps. Regards Jon C Parish Maintenance and Electrical.

In principal it is ok as long as it is RCD protected, however the Regs dont allow some Earthing systems to export the earth from the main building, you would need to be sure your Earthing system isn't TNCS(PME) as any Qualified Electrician will tell you this earthing set up used outside has the potential to be fatal, if in a freak condition of a broken Neutal on the distribution side the Earth would become live hence it not being allowed outside.
