Kitchen Fitting

Architechtural works with new fitted kitchen - would a kitchen company do this?

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.51 PM

My dad is looking at getting his kitchen / diner refitted. He wants to swap over a window and door on an external wall (e.g. replace current door window with a window, and change a current window to French doors) before the kitchen is fitted. The house hasn't been touched since originally built (1950s) so will also need complete overhaul of electrics / plumbing / tiling / flooring. He would like to go to one place that can do / oversee the whole thing. Would a kitchen fitting company be able to do this or would he need to contact individual trades (e.g. window company, electrician, kitchen fitter, plumber)? No-one in the family has ever done a refurb/refit so no idea where to start. Thanks.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi there, it depends on the kitchen company, we for instance offer a full service of renovation including the building element, most big kitchen companies cannot offer this service but most local independents will offer a variety of sub contractors to enable this option

Hi there, Kitchen companies pretty much do just kitchens. A company like myself can do all the other associated works aswell, we have other local trusted tradesmen that can be called upon for certain areas of work. So basically getting a local smaller company in to do the work will be simpler as a sole trader will liase with other trades for you so you only need to deal with one person. Hope that helps. CT
