permanent sollution on cracked shower tray silicone

The silicone around the shower tray keeps cracking and getting dirty.As a result water goes behind the shower tray. I need a permanent solution on this. Any ideas please? what would be a good quality silicone to use?any ideas on brands?

It sounds like the tray has not been fitted correctly, if the tray is raised, then your floor may be moving due to previous water damage, loose floor boards. or adjustable feet being adjusted correctly. If fitted onto the floor it should be bedded on sand and cement and levelled. Then it should be sealed to the walls, wall finishes applied and then finally silicone to seal tray to wall finishes. Strip it out and have it fitted by an experienced bathroom fitter

Hi The best solution is to get it changed with a good quality one, but meanwhile you can get some water proof silicon for a bathroom and fill the track carefully. Hope will not crack till you change the whole shower to a good quality one.

for the silicone to keep cracking something is moving to cause this,usualy the tray has not been installed properly.

It sounds like movement in the tray is causing the silicon to crack. I would suggest re-installing and stabilising the base and tray.
