advice on whether a washing machine can be installed in space and regarding the plumbing

Washing machines are generally 600 wide cooks canbe 500 up to a thousand wide . Everything can be done . It often comes down to price and what your prepared to do . Cookers are often placed on internal walls with out exterior wall access. It's possible to run the waist around the walls and also the water pipes . You could also dig out channel and run them through the floor . It's awkward to run new pipes under exicsting units but not impossible.

Hi Geoffrey, Assuming it was a standard cooker of 600mm width, washing machines are the same size. As long as there is some wriggle room either side to allow it to be installed and removed again in case of faults, a 650mm wide gap should be generous enough. Regards John

Generally ,cookers are 500 MM wide minimum going up to 1000mm plus .so as long as you have a minimum space of 600 MM (basic size washing machine )it can be done , the waste for the washer is normally a flexible pipe approx 1 meter long and can be extended at that ,.The plumbing is a cold feed ,that can also be piped up in flexible water pipe ,such as speed fit or similar

Well washing machine install should be as close to sink waste or outlet wall for waste as possible ,due to the fact that water has to travel quite away if located elsewhere, you don't want the pump doing to much work. that's my take on it cheers.
