Moisture coming through wood floorboards at front door

There seems to be moisture coming up through the floor after rain or after the window cleaner has been. I can’t understand how this is possible. What could cause this?

I would lift a board
I would suggest the recent rain fall has flooded the subfloor and the timbers are soaking up the moisture
