Resin or paving block driveway

HI. I'm gonna have any driveway done soon but I can't decide what to go for. Paving blocks and resin are both more less in my price range but which one is better? It says online that resin will be cheaper than blocks but all quotes say otherwise and resin is up to £1000 more expensive. Which one do I go for? I'm beginning to have a headache. Also, do I remove my from wall to create a an open driveway or keep it for security reasons? I'd be grateful for any advice. Thanks you.

Hi to help you decide resin bonded drive's are more expensive than block paving,but are maintenance free,no weeds,no puddles,anti slip,suds reliant no drainage required, with block paving they constantly need, cleaning sanding and sealing, so the resin drives always look like new and in the long run and less expensive than block paving I hope this helps

In either case you must ensure the sub base (preparation) is done properly. More so with resin as this cannot be remedied after and any cracks will be permanent - Blocks are more forgiving and can be re laid should the need arise. Blocks laid correctly will not puddle, nor will they allow weeds to penetrate through ( use heavy duty weed control material) - I stress again ask what base your contractors are proposing to lay prior to installation. Your drive will only be as good as the material it is on top of.

Tarmac is the best Resin stains easy Block paving always have weeds grow unless sealed

Hi if it is the brick effect you are really looking for then decorative concrete could be your answer it is also easy to maintain and is cheaper than other methods.
