What kind of driveway?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.23 PM

Hi. I'm looking to have my driveway done very soon. I was gonna go for imprinted concrete as heard it was cheaper than paving blocks and I like the way it looks. But after a few brief quotes I don't think I can afford it. It's not cheaper at all. I'm seeing 3 diffrent builders tomorrow and I'm sure they'll be able to advise me can you also put me in the right direction. What king of drives is the best? I know there so many: paving stones, tarmac, resin, etc. I've got around £3k and my drive is 57m2 big. What can I hope for for that kind of money? The price is important but I also would like my driveway look great and to hard wearing and as resistant to weed as possible. Would be very grateful if you could advice. Thanks very much, Beata.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

With an area this big I believe tarmac would be cost effective and definitely hard wearing

Imprinted concrete driveway is OK for the first couple years but after that if the ground moves underneath you get airline cracks and it’s not worth the money the money you’re looking to spend 3000 is not going to get you what you really want if you could switch to a 3 1/2 to 4000 you will get driveline 50 in any color you want and any Patton you wish to Have and plus with my company no money until the job is completed and you’re satisfied with the work we carried out we use bradstone blocks Thanks Wayne hope you get the work caring out the price you can afford

With a budget of 3k on a drive of 57sqm You only real option would be tarmac or possibly shingle. Block paving you would be looking minimum 4k To make a good job using good quality materials
