We're getting the boiler moved and new radiators fitted in our new house, the builder/ plumber suggests we get the system flushed for an extra 500, is this worth doing? Thanks

The boiler is fairly new but the house hasn't been lived in for a while. we're changing the cellar to a kitchen hence the move of the boiler, don't want to face problems later - but not sure how to tell if needs doing or not? x

Hi, yes it is worth flushing before putting in the new inhibitor, but £500 is
rediculous, would have thought a good plumber would want to flush the system
anyway whithout charging any extra.

Your Boiler Manufacturer will state that this must be done, or it will void your guarantee, it is also best practice and most professional heating engineers would price this in to their quote, power flushing should be about £35 per rad regional variations. chemical is about £50 then its just labor intensive.
