Hi, what can I use to even out textured ceramic tiles so that they are smooth please?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.49 PM

I have textured ceramic tiles that are fitted on my kitchen floor, I don't want to take them up as they are well fitted, but I want to smooth the texture out so the tiles are smooth and easier to keep clean. Is there anything on the market that can be applied to even out the design of the tiles so they are smooth please? Thanks :o)

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi, you can use a self levelling compound to level the floor, however the leveling compound will need covering, ie lino, smooth tiles, wood flooring, as the leveling compound is not tough enough to take constant traffic. Regards Paul
