New velux fitted. Why are Holes for the latches are at bottom end of the window ??
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.45 PM
Hi I have just had three velux windows installed. Top hung windows which also pivot too. I’ve just realised that the holes for what seem to be for the latches (used when wanting to lock the window in to position when open slightly) are at the bottom of the window frames instead of the top. How has this happened? The window came intact and have not been fitted the wrong way wrong. Any advice or help please?

Without seeing a picture of the windows it could be that these latched are for when you pivot the window all the way around for cleaning.

Hi. Normally with a velux you can tilt them all the way upside down and latch the top to the bottom then you can clean if you like.
Hope this helps
Kind regards

Hi,
I would recommend that you contact velux. Take pictures and attach them with your concern that way you are getting a answer from the company that made the windows.
Hope this helps.
