Fit a trickle vent

Hello, Is it realistic to fit a trickle vent into an existing UPVC window? Thanks a lot

Hi Natalia yes is now a compulsory FENSA regulation natalia for all new upvc installations and I would recommend doing it a it is also required by building regulations I think it is document C. it does depend on how long ago they were installed, but is good practice to do. Yes this can be done but is subject to the pvc-u system you have.
You can fit this in the sash or the outer frame. just check that you can fit it in from inside and out. If you can just use a hss drill bit size to suit vent ( ie 8-10mm dia ) and drill a series of holes in a straight line to suit vent. Its important to keep the drill 90 degrees to the face, so the inside is in line.

I would want to check if the frame has metal in the top. if it has then a vent would be useless
