New Boiler Installation
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.25 PM
Hi all, Ive purchase a property built in 1926. Heating system was an old back boiler behind the fire so its been replaced now with a combi in the loft. Just wondering do I need to have a certificate for the works done notifiable to building control or is that only if its a new boiler? The plumber is Gas Safe registered. Just wanting to make sure Im covered. Thanks

The gas engineer must notify gas safe and building control of any new gas appliances installed. You will then receive a certificate from gas safe which you should keep in a safe place as you will need it if selling the property.

You'll require an annual gas safety check. Should be sufficient enough as well as notifying building control regulations measure as to your request in question?
Hope this helps.
Thanks pd

New Gas appliance must be registered with gas safe by a gas safe registered engineer. Make sure your engineer do a benchmark of your appliance and keep it safe.
