When it’s all dry, usually, it all dries down into the corners of the room. All the plaster should be dry and the same colour all over. You may encounter some salting during the drying process (effervescent salting), this is normal, just brush or hoover off. Do not wall paper because this is known to hold in damp. Only use a flat mat paint ie; nothing with vinyl paint in it, shiny etc.

Hi sadhoo You can decorate your walls as soon as all visible damp and moisture have gone from your walls, however refrain from using wall paper as this will draw moisture to the surface and fail to adhere properly. Allow at least 12 months for this as the damp roofing prevents further water to rise and saturate your walls but doesn't remove water currently stored in your walls.

I normally give four to six weeks before decoration during the summer and warm months but in winter it can take up to 2 or 3 months it all really depends on the thickness of the damp proofing plaster that was applied and also whether it was tanked or two coats render

General points should be noted: The drying out times on completion of DPC work any re-plastering will be the characteristic of pink, cream or grey in colour of finishing plaster. There is still a lot of moisture left within these walls and they must be allowed to dry out before any redecoration is undertaken. After about four weeks a non alkali (trade) water based emulsion paint (NON VINYL) may be applied. Redecoration with wallpaper and all other types of paints and finishes should only be carried out when the walls are dried out completely. The following drying times are approximate and are for guidance only. In general allow one month per 1”/25 mm of wall thickness. WALL THICKNESS DRYING OUT TIME Less than 100 mm 100 mm to 300 mm____________________3 to 6 months 100 mm to 300 mm__________________________________6 to 12 months Over 300 mm___________________________________1 month per 25mm Kind Regards Mathew Milner

Assuming this isn't a joke question, you wouldn't inject and plaster on the same day. When the injection cream has cured (7 days) and the room has had heat and a dehumidifier introduced to remove the moisture the walls would be rendered where the old plaster was removed, and then a skim coat of plaster finish applied.
