Realistically how easy is it to get a grant to get my attic insulated under the governments scheme?

I want to get my loft boarded as well but dont have loads of spare money right now so try to save in all areas but still have a professional job done

It is very easy to go through this process, just phone any of the leading loft insulation companies and they will do all the paperwork for you, you just sign and pay, it work's out very cheap for what you get, if you are on benefit's or over 65 years old, it's free, at least it was not so long ago. Ulitility providers will do it for free no matter who you are. Call british gas and tell them what you want to do, they are desperate to fill a quota. Its very simple amd you wont have to pay a penny
