New fibreglass roof - 50% puddle
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.50 PM
Hello, I hope somebody can help. We had a new flat roof fitted (4m2) in fibreglass and under a little rain it is puddling at about 50% of the roof surface, it replaced a fibreglass roof which didn't really puddle but had warped over time (which probably masked the flatness). Should I be complaining about this or accepting the puddling? With Thanks Ian

Yes I would complain as the roof should not be puddling by that amount

If a flat roof holds water 48 hours after having the last rain then it is classed as ponding and yes you should contact them. NRCA Regs.

The roof should not puddle water, and the roofer should of advised yourselves that a fall is required or at least levelling.
