Electric heating to combi boiler

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.50 PM

If a person would like to change their electric storage heating to a combi boiler yet there is no gas pipe / regulator / ecv / meter in the property. How would someone go about this job as they cannot do the install without this. Who’s responsibility is it and does it cost money to have this done.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

First thing to do is to call the service provider and ask them if it’s possible to have a gas feed to your property as there maybe services running underground next to your property cost wise I believe there’s only a cost when relocating the service I.E moving your supply to a different location but as you have not yet got a service there should be no cost as the supplier wants your business hope this helps

Contact a local energy provider like EDF, EON, British Gas or others and they will sort it for you. There are also other registered companies who can do the work of installation of gas supply to your home, you can look them up on google. Best to shop around as the price can vary massively. Best of luck :)
