I have old terrace, 2 chimneys. Roof is replaced, looks ok, but rain runs down apexs. Are chimney bricks porous, is pointing the problem,what can I do to stop this? Thanks v much.

without looking at the job it is not really possible to say exactly what is happening,could be the flashings,pointing, broken tile, or any number of other reasons. suggest you post the job on the site and get a local roofer round to asses the problem and solution. good luck alex

The bricks may well be porous but it is more likely the lead flashing or lack of it that is the problem
