Front of House Extension-Glasgow
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.23 PM
I would like to build a small kitchen extension to the front of my property in Glasgow, what are the chances of this being approved? I live in a small semi style house, with a main road about 100/150 feet from front of house, separated by trees. If there is a chance of it being approved is there a company that could do everything from drawings, planning permission and building the extension and what would be a rough estimate of the cost? Extension would only be about 9ft by 9ft. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Look at the building line of all other properties in the road if they are all straight you have no chance if some step forward compared to others it's worth a planning application, council are very strict on what you can put on the front of a property besides a porch as this isn't a habital room

Your best course of action is to always contact your local planning officer to check before you do any changes which could breach planning policy. They usually are approachable.
