What's the difference between plastering, skimming, bonding, and rendering, and do all plasterers use these terms?

Plastering is a general term, bonding and render are undercoats and skim is the final decorative coat also render can be used externally

Skimming means skim on plaster board or re skim walls rendering out doors bonding or float set bonding over Artex ceilings

Bonding is used as a base coat ie to prepare rough walls so you can plaster skim smoothly to finish off. Render is a base coat or a Finnish coat made up of sand and cement normally used on the outside of houses
