Hi You would need to speak to your electricity provider to explain what your wanting to do. They will then arrange their own team or a sub contractor to come and inspect and Undertake the work required. As regards cost and lead time, this should be quoted after a possible onsite inspection. Hope this helps

If you want to move the meter then contact your supplier like N-Power British Gas etc. They are responsible for the meter. However I'm assuming you want to move all the electrical services? If your main fuse and supply needs to be moved as well then you need to contact your local electricity network operator. networkoperator.org

Yep, you have got to contact the DNO. And it can be expensive, especially if the DNO has to joint the cable. Can you reposition the consumer unit instead? If the distance is under 3 meters you could look at replacing the meter tails if you have an isolator fitted. Or pay the DNO £78 pound to pull the cut out fuse. Then you can reposition the consumer unit rather the moving the meter and service head. I say this because my old tenant has been quoted £1000.00
