Noise insulation first floor busy street London
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.44 PM
The bedroom has huge double glazed windows facing a busy street in East London. On the weekend people get really rowdy in a nearby bar. It is noisy even with the window fully closed. How can I add extra sound insulation?

Secondary glazing kits can help achieve a sound barrier. Available made to size/design that suit most window opening.
Double glazed units can also be update with a make up containing an acoustic laminated glass.

In some cases the trickle vent maybe allowing the noise in but you can change these and have an acoustic vent fitted which will help along with secondary glazing and an acoustic tile round between window and secondary glazing.
