runners on metal filing cabinet

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.24 PM

The ball bearings have fallen out of one of the runners on a metal filing cabinet. I gather I need to replace the runner, but I'm finding it hard to get the right runner. With the current runner, the drawer rests on it (undermount) and it has baynet mounting to attach it to the cabinet. But I can't find a supplier online. Any recommendations as to where to buy a runner like this? Thanks

There are several types and lengths. Take one of the old ones to Screwfix or Toolstation for comparison. If they can't match up a replacement then you will have to look for an online store and double check the dimensions.

The description given by the other handyman is good except the need to go through an offices furniture supplier and if possible give them or google the make of cabinet. Those runners will not be available through screwfix or tool station or sinmilar needs to be a specialist supplier
