Plasterboard or filling the cracks in the cieling

Is it better to put a plasterboard over the cracks in my ceiling or is it better to just fill the gaps

It depends how big are the cracks

In my opinion I wouldnt waste time filling them they are likely to re appear my advice you have 3 options
.Tape and plaster the full ceiling
.Overboard and plaster the ceiling
.Remove old ceiling re board and plaster

If there are multiple cracks i would take ceiling down are find the joist and re boards the ceiling

I would tape the cracks, give it a tight coat of bonding and skim the whole ceiling.
