Close Coupled Toilet
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.24 PM
I want to replace the downstairs toilet a traditional looking close-coupled toilet. I've found one online (Burlington) that I fancy, do I need to measure anything out at home first or, can I just place the order? THANKS FOR YOUR REPLIES, THE NEW TOILET IS NOW IN PLACE.

It all depends where your waste/soil pipe is situated. If its through the wall you should have no problem, but if it is up through the ground you might struggle to get the toilet to sit flush with the wall, due to the location of the waste on the ground.i.e a fair way from the wall.

The swan connector does not always work if the soil pipe is coming through the floor and its more than 150 mm from the centre to the back wall the swan connector won't work

Do not buy the loo until the site has been checked by a Plumber, It will save so much aggravation.
