What mix shall I use

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.49 PM

I'm building a pond out of dense blocks laid flat, and not sure what mix I should use. Around 3 rows will be underground I was told use 3:1 below ground and 6:1 above, just didn't seem right

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Firstly I wouldn't use blocks for a pond ,use engineering bricks in English bond 3/1: mix with a good water proofing for the entire project .

I would just use a simple 4-1mix for the whole job.

Use 3/1below ground But use 5/1 above ground if cement is to strong the blocks will crack
