Bees in the garden - how to attract more of them

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.49 PM

I was thinking to make my garden bee-friendly and try to attract more bees or provide them with what they require to grow their colones (probably not a hive though :)) Are there any simple things I can do?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Flowers are bees best friend. So lots of different flowers would do the trick. But please try and keep it clean from any pesticides. I hope this helps.

Hi There, Yes for the most simple approach you could dedicate a small area/ bed to a good wild flower mix seed mix.(available from most garden centres etc.) I believe you can also by it in turf form now too so like a nice wild meadow. Also a little bug hotel which solitary bees will use (without hiving) to add a nice little extra. Hope this helps? Thanks, Lewis.
