Downstairs sockets tripping

Hi woke up to my house alarm going off to find downstairs sockets av tripped I flicked the switch and everything was fine till 2 hours later it did it again just downstairs socket switch down flicked it back up n back on what do I do?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

To start, unplug everything from the down stairs sockets including things like washing machine and tumble dryer. Once you have, flick the RCD back on and see if it trips again. If it doesn’t plug things in again one at a time , leaving a suitable time between each. You should detect what is causing the problem. A regular one is the dishwasher. If the RCD trips with everything disconnected, call an electrician

Check to see if anything electrical plugged in down stairs is tripping your fuse, if you can't locate the culprit you should call an electrician.

alarm sounding says to me battery is dead and needs replacing for a start,could be faulty appliance causing trip ,it could be overloaded circuit ,as for ring final tripping with nothing connected it could be neutral or earth fault from low insulation resistance reading between cores because of damp joint ie a water leak possibly or rodent damage and damp also
