How much underlay and gripper?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.22 PM

Hello, I'm putting carpet on a main landing and stairs (which have two half landings). I have the carpet, I bought a roll end and the man in the shop said it would cover the area I needed. However I also need underlay and gripper rods and I don't know how much to get. The landing is 3.4 x 2.5 msq, there are 14 stairs which are 800mm wide and the two half landings are 900 x 900 mm in dimensions. Any advice on how much underlay I need overall and in terms of rolls? Thanks. Also, Id be grateful for advice on the amount of gripper I need. There are 5 doors off the landing so I think I also need 5 Z-bars. Thanks a lot.
