I have a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 36 CDi Compact 12.9 LPM installed on the ground floor.
My kitchen sink cold water is 10 LPM.
My first floor bathroom bath and shower are 8 LPM cold and 8 LPM hot
My outside garden tap gives 23 LPM. I have old lead mains pipes.
If someone runs the cold tap in the kitchen the shower drops to 3 LPM (hot or cold).
I don’t understand why I don’t get 15+ LPM in my bathroom for cold water and perhaps 11 LPM hot water.
I am having a loft conversion an electric shower for the bathroom in the loft has been suggested.
It just doesn’t make sense to me. I don’t want a new system. I just think I should be getting more flow on what I have already.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?
If your getting that much pressure on outside tap then I’d say that is linked to the mains so in theory you should be getting the same in the house your more than likely to have a pressure reducing valve fitted someone where between your meter or incoming and the supply to your fittings
The pipes feeding your bathroom are under sized pipes need enlarging to increase water flow and I combi will drop pressure if running more then one tap etc also a new water Mains would increase the flow to the property
You need to check for any flow restrictions on the pipework especially to the taps and any flow restrictors within body of taps and or valves. Restrictions such as isolator valves most commonly are small bore and therefore will slow flow down also new shower valves and taps can come with factory fitted flow restrictors which can be removed!! The thing to remember is most combi’s are a 15mm cold feed and a 15mm hot supply and therefore will struggle to keep up with multiple outlets. The option of having a electric shower on the top floor is not a bad suggestion as it’s a cold feed only. If you have more than two bathrooms and if two people try having a shower at the same time the combis flow on the hot will not keep up and it’ll be just a trickle! I’m afraid that’s the trade off with the space saving on demand combi verses having a heat only boiler and a hot water cylinder

It's a possibility that if there's a double check valve in there it could be that there's debris in it, 1st answer also possible
