Fake Grass - Tuda Luxury or Banbury Heavy Density?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.24 PM

Which one has better longevity and which brand would you recommend? What are important thing ((aside from look and feel and density) we should consider when making final decision on artificial grass brand?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You will need to see what guarantees are offered from the suppliers. A good quality artificial turf will come with a minimum of 10 year guarantee. Check the strength of a sample and also the density of the sward. Not the length of the turf this is irrelevant. The main thing is that the turf is fitted on a good prepared smooth compact surface ideally a bed of sharp sand and then secured in to place to prevent movement. once this has been done it comes down to how it is looked after with regular sweeping and removing debris from the surface plus weed treatment when required. If you have pets you may need to deodorizer the turf on a regular bases.

I would also add a layer of ground covering to prevent weeds growing from underneath

Most of answer correct but where I differ instead of sharp sand that washes away grano dust more expensive but better suited .9 out of 10 landscapers how ever use sharp sand. Also would brush in kiln dried sand into and against the tuff fibres so they stand up straight looking more realistic .
