Electric underfloor heating
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.48 PM
I want to put electric underfloor heating in my bathroom so that it's warm in the winter but I have heard horror stories of it breaking and generally not being as good as a water system. If I can't install a water system would you recommend electric of just getting more powerful towel rails?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

To be honest so long as there is a good radiator in the room - be it electric or water - then underfloor heating is just a nice touch not an essential, alternatively fit a laminate vinyl click flooring which is always warm underfoot and waterproof, I fit loads

To be honest.
No I wouldn’t recommend this product.
In my experience it can be problematic and is also not very efficient or affective.
I see electric underfloor heating as a way to heat the surface of the tile so as not to be cold to the touch.
I do not see electric underfloor heating as an alternative to a towel rail or radiator.
