Plastering & Rendering

plug socket or switch/plaster interface

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 2.49 PM

Plug sockets set too deep on first fix. Plasterer just plastered over them. 2nd fix now means that I have holes around several plgus and sockets. Whats the best way to fix this problems (it exists on both fully plastered walls, and walls that have had plasterboard fixed to them first.)

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

your plasterer should have flagged up the problem and had them altered you can get over the prblem by using long soket screws however you can also patch invisibly if there are holes around the socket a good plasterer can do this

You can get longer socket screws which is probably going to solve that problem just head down to your local screw fix. May have to resort to a filler and a light sand with the hole problem. Hope that helps
