Laminate has come a long way over the past few years and is being used in wet areas more and more. That said from a professional point of view I would normally recommend tiling to be in place. If the water or even moisture in the air does ingress the laminate, no matter how high quality, over time warping and swelling are likely to occur.

The answer provided is a accurate answer . As a alternative to tiles I would recommend kardene flooring if a plank look is wanted . Warmer under foot than s tile
