Is it safe to install a flat Screen TV on plastering/building less than 12 months old?

Is it safe to install a flat screen TV onto living room wall in new build house or should we wait 12 months until plaster fully dried? Sorry if it sounds like a stupid question I'm just not sure how strong (or not) new walls are. Ps house has been built to excellent standard with top quality materials & plastering.

Plaster doesn’t take 12 months to dry!! Id recommend you trying to find a stud or support in the wall instead of relying on just the plaster board to support the tv.

The best way around this is to get a piece of harden wood (not too heavy not too light) and screw this into the wall. Then attach your TV bracket to the wood that's attached to the wall.

I have fitted many Tv's to new build plaster board walls without issue. I use a Bosch stud detector and there are some very good plaster board fixings now as well. Most new LED Tv's are very light and the weight is spread through the bracket. I've never had a TV come off the wall.

You should never rely on just plasterboard to hang a TV. If it's a stud wall then find the wood the wall is built with and strewn to that . If it's a support wall that's bin dot and dabbed Brill past the plasterboard and in to the wall and use longer screws into wall plugs
