Valliant ecotec 612 boiler does not have hot water option on control panel - why?!

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.23 PM

Hi there, I've just moved into a property with a Valliant boiler. It's an ecotec 612. It works well - providing heating and hot water. However the control panel only shows the radiator symbol and I'm only able to adjust the target flow temperature. There is no hot water symbol and I can't find where I can adjust the hot water temperature, even though the user manual says this boiler should have both. Any help would be much appreciated! (Also to note that there is a hot water tank in the house, which I'm not sure if it has anything to do with no hot water symbol / option on the boiler control panel)

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Vaillant ecotec 612 is a system boiler , to provide hot water need separete hot water cylinder with a cylinder thermostat to control the temperature of the hot water. This should be set to a temperature of around 60°C
