old pre-fab garage conversion
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.43 PM
we have an old pre-fab garage at the bottom of the garden. we're wondering if we could brick around the current slabs (enclosing them) and then fitting a slightly graded roof rather than a flat roof. we wouldn't be using the replacement as a garage, we'd want to get electrics put in so we could use it as a summerhouse of some sort. would you say this is a good option, or should it just be ripped down and start over? Cheers Gaz

If the garage is “Slabs” you could insulate the inside And plaster it
A timber roof shouldn’t be an issue depending on what roofing materials you use the less weight the better clear polycarbonate panels would flood it with light in the summer but may get quite warm inside
Hope this helps😁
