what to paint over silk emulsion walls

The hallway has shiny walls which I presume is magnolia silk emulsion paint,, what type of paint do I use to cover this trying to avoid sanding the walls

Another silk emulsion.
Or if you are planning on matt then you do need to provide a key from abrasion.
Or you could look at products such a zinsser permawhite, allcoat, ceiling pro 4 in one.
Or apply a coat of one of their primers first ( bullseye 123)
More expensive than a roll of 150 grit sandpaper.
Always good prep to clean silk paint with sugar soap too

any water based matt emulsion will be ok to apply over the silk,the only time sanding or primer is needed is if an oil based eggshell or gloss has been used prior to emulsion
