Self leveling compound

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.01 PM

Hi, we have had some old tiles removed and the floor leveled in our living room with a self leveling compound. However, there is a small bit that was not done due to a wooden ledge in front of French door. Now that has been removed and the French door replaced and a patch of about 20 cm X 230cm has been uncovered. It needs to be levelled with the rest of the floor. However, we are not sure how. It's a tiny job and all self leveling compounds I have seen being sold are in big packages and there is many different ones being sold making it difficult to choose. The compound used by the professionals who did the living room is of grey colour if that helps. Any advice on what and where to buy would be great! Many thanks, Lydia

Hi there, You can buy smaller bags online if you were only needing a little. When carrying out the job make sure the mixture is watery enough that way it is soft enough to self level! (Sounds simple enough but easy to make the mixture too thick!) Kind regards
