Are the cracks in my walls dangerous? And would it cost a lot to get fixed?
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.43 PM
I had a loft conversation done 2 year ago the stairs in the room going up to the loft are really heavy and I’m noticing big cracks on the wall where the stairs are the cracks are right on the corner of the wall going from ceiling and down it’s worrying me , does it sound like the walls are ready to crumble or am I just being a bit dramatic? Would appreciate any advice thanks!

I think you desperately need a structural engineer to check this out for you.

It might be just your plaster cracking with a loft conversion your adding weight to your house and need to allow for settlement this normally takes about a year
